Quetta Gladiators' star batter Khawaja Nafay recently gave an exclusive interview to Geo News where he stated that playing under former franchise captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has been beneficial.
Nafay noted the learning opportunities provided by veterans like Sir Vivian Richards, Sarfaraz Ahmed, and Shane Watson, emphasizing his focus on natural batting and adapting to match situations.
"There is a lot to learn from Sir Vivian Richards, Sarfaraz Ahmed, and Shane Watson, I do my natural batting and play according to the situation, I try to practice every shot for two, three hours," he said.
Reflecting on the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL), Nafay expressed satisfaction with the team's performance, highlighting the league as a significant platform for young cricketers.
"The PSL experience has been great so far, PSL is a huge platform for the youth, Nafay said.
Additionally, Nafay shared his pride in representing Quetta Gladiators, a team he has been associated with since his early cricketing days. With aspirations to clinch the title, the right-handed batter reiterated his determination to contribute to the team's success.
"Many players of Quetta Gladiators are from Pakistan Cricket Club where I have also played. I will do my best to make sure we win the title."
Furthermore, Nafay reminisced about his longstanding connection with Saim Ayub, having journeyed together from childhood and even played in India.
